Alright, folks, I’m kicking off my own little campaign here on the Internet. I, for one, am tired of tiptoeing around just to be politically correct. So, I’ve set up this page to let loose and share my unfiltered thoughts on the matter.
Let’s face it: you can’t please everyone, so why bother trying to make people comfortable with our blogs? If someone doesn’t like what they read, they can just scroll on by. I’m saying this upfront because I’m about to ruffle some feathers, and I want it to be crystal clear that I won’t feel guilty about speaking my mind. This is a blog, after all, so brace yourself to read, enjoy, or completely ignore its contents—your call.
Political Correctness = Languguage and Thought Control
Political correctness, or PC, is just a fancy way of saying “thought control.” And if you can control what people say, you can control what they think.
PC has become the norm, especially in those ivory towers they call universities, but it’s creeping into every corner of society. It’s like censorship wearing a mask of tolerance, or as George Carlin put it, “fascism pretending to be manners.”
Just like Newspeak in Orwell’s 1984, PC is slowly but surely limiting our ability to think and speak freely by shrinking our vocabulary.
The Absurdity of Political Correctness
The lengths people go to avoid offending anyone these days are just laughable. They tell you what you can and can’t say based on their own twisted ideas of what’s “offensive.” It’s a mess:
- Who’s in charge? Who gets to decide what’s offensive?
- Since when is being offended a crime? Freedom of speech is a basic human right, the “right not to be offended” isn’t.
- Offense is subjective. What offends one person might not bother another. You’re responsible for your own feelings. Blaming others for how you feel is just immature.
The Roots of Political Correctness
PC has its roots in Marxism and Communism. Back in the early to mid-20th century, the phrase was linked to the strict enforcement of Stalinist doctrine. You can trace it even further back to the Frankfurt School, a think tank founded in 1923 with the goal of spreading collectivist ideologies like socialism, Marxism, and communism.
Former Soviet KGB agent Yuri Bezmenov talked about a process of “ideological subversion” designed to change the individualistic culture of the West into a collectivist one.
Examples of PC Gone Mad
PC might have started with good intentions to fight discrimination, but it’s gone off the rails. It wants us to replace normal words with ridiculous phrases like “people of advanced age” for seniors, “people of size” for overweight, and “people of material wealth” for rich. It even wants to replace “American” with “US citizen.”
The list of banned words and phrases is a mile long and includes terms like male, female, father, mother, hard worker, third world, crazy, insane, retarded, gay, tyranny, gypped, illegal alien, ghetto, raghead, “I want to die,” and “that test raped me.”
PC culture isn’t just about words, it’s about controlling how we act too. Some universities have rules banning speech that makes people feel angry or lowers their self-esteem, along with “suggestive looks,” “unwelcome flirtation,” and even “inappropriate laughter.”
Resisting Political Correctness
If you care about free speech and thought, you need to resist PC culture. If you’re worried about hurting people’s feelings, there are ways to express yourself without resorting to censorship.
We don’t need language police telling us what to say or think. We shouldn’t have to twist our words into knots just to avoid offending someone. It’s time for people to grow up and stop trying to control everyone else because they can’t handle a few words.
The real agenda of PC culture is to shut down open dialogue and free expression. It’s about silencing criticism of those in power under the guise of fighting “hate speech” and promoting equality.
Political Correctness? It’s just a fancy term for thought control.
- Step 1: Get people to worry about offending others.
- Step 2: Once they’re afraid to speak out, they’ll start being afraid to even think it.
- Step 3: Once they’re afraid to think it, it never gets spoken.
- Step 4: Congratulations, you’ve got public control.
Want to stop this madness? Easy—speak your mind and encourage those around you to do the same!
